I AM WHO I AM

Speaking of myself. Let me state the following. I am a father. I am a husband. I am a employee. I am a Catholic Christian. And now if I may ask you a couple of questions. And I want you to direct these same questions at yourself. After having filled in the blanks as to who you are. So lets begin. Is there ever a time when you are not who you are? And the second question is this. Can you choose to not be who you are?

So what is it exactly that you are driving at Mr. Pundit? Well I will tell you. The only time you are not who you are. Is if and when you decide to hide it for the sake of sin.For the truth is you can never change who you are. But you can change your actions and the way in which you are perceived as being who you are. When sin sneaks into view. The husband or wife takes off their wedding band. Telling their suitor that they are not married. And although they still are who they are. They are now perceived through the act of deceit as not being so in the eyes of the beholder. Jesus told Peter that before the cock crowed. Peter would deny him 3 times. Peter said to the Lord that this would never happen.

Well as it turns out it did in fact happen. And Peter fled the scene weeping. Jesus told Peter that when he had matured that he would lead the church. Peter didn’t get it at the time. Just as you are not getting it now. When it comes to being a Christian. You most definitely are who you are. And for most of you. Who you are now is not good. But here’s the difference. I can never change that I am a father. For if I have a child I’m always a father. Now whether or not I am a good one is another story. But the fact that I am a father will never change. But as to wehter or not you or I are a Christian. This is entirely another story indeed. For as being a Christian there is no proof of anything. There is no human body to whom you can claim being the father of. So how is it we can prove ourselves to be a Christian?

Jesus said that you will know a tree by its fruit. Now man may be in error when judging you as being a Christian or not. But God who is never in error will judge you righteously in the end. And you will either hear from him. Well done my good and faithful servant. inherit the kingdom of my Father in heaven.Or you will hear. Depart from me you wicked one. Into the everlasting fires and darkness of hell. So let me ask you one more time if I may. Are you who you say you are?…to be continued

HOLY COMMUNION IN THE MASS

Many of you who have been rea200418739_9deb52dec6_mding my blog from first post. Already know that I was raised Catholic. Joined the Born Again movement. And 6316097688_c8fe2781a8_mwent back to my Catholic roots. And in my opinion with good reason. In this blog however I am going to address but one thing and one thing only. And that is defending the practice of the mass in the Catholic or universal church. And to do this I will be using my favorite Protestant bible. Which is the Thompson Chain reference bible. And as a side note for all of the uninformed in my readership. Which is almost everyone I meet. People who believe what Uncle Harry told them rather than doing the research themselves. After all I would have to actually read and spend some happy hour time to do that. And we cant have that as Christians can we? The Protestant bible is nothing more than the Catholic bible. Which had been the churches mainstay. Assembled and critiqued by hundreds of the early Catholic churches fathers. Whose lineage connects directly to having been one on one disciples of the apostles of Jesus Christ.

So where exactly the Protestants begin to think this was not well thought out? Or somehow twisted itself into a Satanic festival on the seven hills of Rome. And that the pope is the antichrist. Is more bizarre and infested with lies than I care to spend any time on. The only difference is that around the time of Luther and Calvin and others. They decided along with leaving Catholicism to remove a number of books from what had been the word of God for some 1300 years. Books which just happened to contain evidence in scripture of praying to and for the dead. As well as the dogma of purgatory. Both of which have never left the Catholic church since its inception having been handed down from the original twelve to this very day and time.

And now back to communion…Catholic style. And so in my Protestant bible…First Corinthians chapter 10 verse 15 and 16. Paul is speaking….I am speaking to you as wise men. And you judge what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? And the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? Paul is asking a question here to members of the new church at Corinth. Already problems and rifts caused by Satan were starting to show themselves. And this was only a short time after Christ’s death and ascension. If you read both books of Corinthians you will see that he is addressing all kinds of issues. From the practice of Holy communion to incest in the church. But here he speaks directly of the cup of wine blessed in the early mass. And he is asking them is it not the blood of Christ? And then he follows with the breaking of the bread. The Eucharist. And he says to them is this not the body of Christ? He is speaking to them directly and at the same time reinforcing that these are the body and blood of Jesus. But he asks them  in the form of a question because he wants to hear it from their mouths. Its an oral test.

In this next series of scriptures in the same book chapter 11 beginning in verse 23. Paul is speaking to them again. And also interjects some of the words of Jesus at the last supper table. Lets read it together…..That the Lord Jesus the same night he was betrayed took bread. And when he had given thanks broke it and said. Take this and eat it. This is my body, which is broken for you. This do in remembrance of me. And then in the same manner he took the cup saying. This is the cup of the New Testament in my blood. This do as often as you drink of it, in remembrance of me. And now Paul begins his dissertation and or instructions regarding this act which Jesus just spoke of…..For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup. You do show the Lords death until he comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread and drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily. Is guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let every man examine himself. And then let him eat of that bread and drink of the cup. For he that eats and drinks unworthily. Eats and drinks damnation to himself. Not properly discerning the Lords body. For this reason many are weak and sickly among you. And many are dead….This is why at the beginning of every mass. The priest pauses and asks us to reflect on our sins. Paul just said that we are partaking of the body and blood of Christ. He said they were not discerning the Lords body. Not a replica. Not a thought. But the Lords body. Not Welches grape juice and broken up saltine crackers my Born Again friends. And because of this Paul says. People need to really take a close look at themselves and their lives. It would actually be better if you didn’t take communion until you set your own house in order. Paul tells them that this is why there are so many sick and dying in the church……If I were you. I would shut my mouth and quick. With your continual Protestant ragging about the Holy Mass and Communion. Its better for you to be just ignorant and remain outside of Catholicism. Ask God to shed his mercy and grace upon you about his church. Before you dig a large hole for yourself to fall into…..To be continued
